Competition is at the heart of FIRST LEGO LEAGUE CHALLENGE, as teams of students engage in research, problem-solving, coding, engineering - building and programming a LEGO robot with sensors that navigates the missions of a robot game.
Working together to build an effective competition robot, they'll systematically test and refine programs, using the design process to develop a solution in order to complete missions, all the while developing skills related to collaboration and teamwork, and life skills for their future careers.

Since moving to the UAE in 2003, I’ve had the joy of teaching Arts & Crafts to students of all backgrounds, including those with special needs. I enjoy exploring various techniques, from painting to mixed media, and I’ve participated in exciting events like “Art World Dubai.”

The Robotics Junior course introduces our youngest learners to the world of robotics through hands-on activities with age-appropriate tools like LEGO BricQ Motion Essential and Matatalab Tale-Bot.
Students will explore basic concepts of force and motion as they build simple models and conduct experiments to understand the cause and effect of push and pull forces.
With Matatalab Tale-Bot, they’ll begin their journey into coding, using a tangible interface to control the robot’s movements, sounds, and actions.
This early exposure to robotics and programming fosters curiosity and lays the groundwork for logical thinking and problem-solving skills that will grow with them.

Robotics intermediate
In theRobotics Explorers course, young learners will be introduced to the fundamentals of robotics and coding through a hands-on, engaging curriculum.
Using the LEGO SPIKE Essential platform, children will build and programtheir first robots, employing block-based coding to bring their creations to life. The course will also incorporate the Matatalab Coding Set, which helps students develop their understanding of sequencing, logic, and basic programming without the need for screens, fostering an intuitive grasp of coding concepts.
As they progress, students will work with the Makeblock Ranger, a versatile robot that offers more advanced challenges, enabling them to start with block-based programming and gradually transition to text-based coding. Additionally, the Intelino Routes system introduces students to the integration of robotics with real-world applications, as they program smart trains to navigate various routes using sensors and commands.
Throughout the course, students will gain a foundational understanding of robotics, develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and build confidence in programming, setting the stage for more advanced robotics and coding experiences.

The Robotics Innovators course is designed for students aged 9-11 who are ready to delve deeper into the world of robotics and programming. Students will begin by working with LEGO SPIKE Prime, a versatile platform that allows them to design, build, and program robots using both block-based coding and Python, a professional programming language.
The course will also feature the Makeblock mBot, where students will engage in complex robotics challenges. They will start with block-based programming and gradually move to Python, enabling them to solve real-world problems by programming robots to perform specific tasks, such as navigating obstacles and responding to sensor inputs. Additionally, students will explore the Intelino smart train system, learning how to integrate sensor data into their programming to control the train's movements, optimize routes, and simulate real-world scenarios. The inclusion of Matatalab VinciBot further enhances their skills, bridging the gap between coding and engineering by allowing them to design and program more intricate robotic systems.
By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in robotics, advanced coding skills in languages like Python, and the ability to tackle complex engineering challenges. The Coding Beginner course invites children to delve deeper into the world of programming through interactive platforms such as Scratch, Kodu, and Minecraft.
Kids will learn block-based coding, where they’ll create interactive stories, games, and virtual worlds. Scratch introduces them to the basics of coding by allowing them to snap together code blocks to bring their ideas to life. With Kodu, they’ll explore game design by programming characters and environments in a 3D space. They will also work with electronic circuits, enhancing their understanding of hardware and software integration. Using Python Turtle, they’ll create visual art through code, and with MIT App Inventor, they’ll design and develop their own mobile applications.
